Project · Noor Workshops
The skills independence really needs.
Practical, structured workshops for young people, open to Noor Homes residents and to young people placed elsewhere.
Why workshops
Independence is a set of skills, and most young people leaving care have never been taught them.
A young person can hold a tenancy on paper and still lose it within six months because nobody showed them how to budget, cook, handle a letter from the council or walk away from the wrong friendship. Our workshops close that gap.

Our standards
Delivered by trained Noor staff, under the same safeguarding standards that apply across our homes.
Groups are kept deliberately small, attendance and progress are recorded, and we can report back to the referring social worker or personal adviser on engagement and outcomes.
Boundaries and respect
Respect for women and girls is taught explicitly and reinforced by staff who challenge attitudes when they hear them. Groups are risk-assessed before every session, with single-gender groups where that is the right decision. Any incident of harmful behaviour is treated as a safeguarding matter: recorded, reported and escalated where required, without exception.
Arranging a place
Tell us who it’s for. We’ll do the rest.
- Living with Noor Homes
- Nothing to arrange: the programme is part of the placement.
- Placed elsewhere
- Tell us the young person’s age, needs and the topics you want covered, and we’ll confirm availability and a start date.
- A group or cohort
- Tell us the numbers, the area and the outcome you want, and we’ll build a block or seminar around it.
If a young person is in immediate danger, call 999. This website is not a crisis service.
