About Inspired with Noor
What is a community interest company?
A company set up to benefit the community rather than shareholders. Our assets and profits are locked to our purpose and can only be reinvested in young people and the communities we work with.
How are you connected to Noor Homes?
We are the community arm of Noor Homes. Noor Homes provides supported housing; we run community projects that are open to its residents and to the wider community.
Who can take part?
Young people living with Noor Homes and young people from the surrounding community. Each project has its own details below.
Noor FC
Do I need any experience?
No. We have four levels, from complete beginners to competitive players, and you’ll start where it suits you.
What does it cost?
Your first session is free. After that it’s £5 a session, paid when you come. There’s no membership.
What do I need to bring?
Trainers or boots and something comfortable to move in. Borrowed boots are welcome.
Do I need to register first?
We recommend it, so we know to expect you and have the right number of coaches.
What if I miss a few weeks?
No penalty and no pressure. Come back whenever you’re ready. Your place stays open.
Is there a route into competitive football?
Yes. Players can move up into our Match Squad for weekly competitive fixtures, or train to coach or referee.
Noor Workshops
Who can attend the workshops?
Young people living with Noor Homes, as part of their placement, and young people placed elsewhere, referred by their local authority.
Does a young person need to live with Noor to attend?
No. Workshops are open to young people from other placements and provision.
Who runs the sessions?
Trained Noor staff, in small groups, under the same safeguarding standards that apply across our homes.
Can you report back on progress?
Yes. We record attendance and progress and can share updates with the referring social worker or personal adviser.
Can you run a workshop for our group?
Yes. Tell us the numbers, the area and the outcome you want, and we’ll build a block or seminar around it.
Getting involved
How can I support the CIC?
Sponsor Noor FC, fund a project, volunteer, give in kind, or book our training. See the Get Involved page.
Can I volunteer without experience?
For many roles, yes. We provide training for coaching, refereeing and workshop support.
